The Elewhelerabibellpus
The Elewhelerabibellpus is the weirdest animal on earth. Today I’m in terror talking to you about the Elewhelerabibellpus.

The Elewhelerabibellpus needs to live in a very hot climate because if they’re in a freezing cold climate they will die. They live in the hot sea in Fiji. They absolutely love to swim fast so they can catch their prey.

The Elewhelerabibellpus has long squid like legs. These long legs are used for hunting prey. They also have a spout for going under water. As if you can’t forget about the Elephant trunk. The Elewhelerabibellpus has rabbit ears that they use for hearing so they don’t get chomped by whales and sharks.

The Elewhelerabibellpus eats starfish, rocks and sand. They can’t eat much because the weight of their body weighs too much, so they have to drag their big fat tummy around under water. Their predators are sharks and whales. They watch out for these animals.

This magnificent animal is the most interesting animal on earth.

Skogke
Yum, yum, yum in my tum. I like chewing berries and flies. The Skogke lives in the woods to find berries on trees. The Skogke is an animal that is part frog, part skunk and part snake.

The Skogke lives in Tasman in the woods so it can find berries on trees. They have to be there because Tasman is the only place with berries on trees.

The Skogke is 1.44 metres so they can reach berries off trees. A Skogke has snakes as arms so it can catch flies. It has a skunk body to jump onto other Skogkes. It has a frog head to see their predators very well. It plays in the bushes with other Skogkes so it has lots of scars. It also loves to wear accessories like top hats and sunglasses.

Scratch, scratch, scratch goes the Skogke with his friends. All the Skogke does is eat, sleep and play with it’s boring old friends. The Skogke eats berries and flies.

The Skogke is a fantastic animal that you can see. So if you go to Tasman, you might see the greatest animal in existence!

Silly Pigs
Have you heard the three little pigs? Well suddenly, I’ve just discovered a different side to the story. It’s actually the pigs fault! The wolf just knocked on the door innocently, grannies are precious and the wolf's got a cold. Be nice to the poor wolf.

Firstly, the wolf just knocked on the door. It’s hardly fair to not give someone sugar. Would you feel like no one likes you? Would you not like it if you kindly ask for some sugar and you don’t get any?

Secondly, the pigs were rude enough not to say come in! (He was just getting sugar for his granny) It’s her birthday. Your grannies are really precious to you.

Thirdly, if you didn’t get any sugar for your granny you would look like an old clown. Why does everyone have to blame the friendly wolf? He’s got a cold. Be nice to him because it’s not hard to be nice. Even saying hello is nice. Who would build a house out of straw? That’s just pathetic!

So I’ve just stated my part of the story. The wolf just knocked on the door. The pigs we’re rude enough not to open the door and you’d look like clown if you couldn’t help your Grandma. Thats why you should help the wolf get free of this blame.

Fantastic Mr Fox
Mr Dombroski, the three awful farmers are certainly  in the wrong because how would the fox eat? Why should boggis, bunce and bean kill Mr fox? And the three farmers can go down to the shop to buy their meat.
Firstly the fox must eat food like us.How would you feel if you didn’t get food for a long time?

Secondly Boggis, Bunce and Bean still should not dig up Mr and Mrs Foxes house. Why should Boggis, Bunce and Bean kill fantastic Mr Fox killing his chickens?

Finally, their chickens will die any way. The awful farmers are already full on food. They always eat food like disgusting meat!! They can just go down to New World or Countdown to get meat.

Fantastic Mr Fox
Have you heard of the Fantastic Mr Fox? The fox is a thief. He stole Boggis, Bunce and Beans food.

Firstly, the fox is in the wrong because he stole the farmers food. So thats taking away a lot of money. How would you like it if you had no money to get food to survive?

Secondly, the farmers should kill the fox because that’s taking away something really good from the farmers. No one said that killing animals is illegal. So would you kill the fox to get food to survive?

Lastly, I think that the farmers would get really angry over the fox stealing their food. Why would you just go over there and steal their food?  I wouldn’t. Would you?

I think this story is a lie. The Fantastic Mr fox isn’t so fantastic at all. The fox is absolutely outrageous for stealing all the farmers food.

It’s Only Sugar

In the story the three little pigs, the big bad wolf isn’t actually the bad guy. The three little pigs are, and i’m going to tell you why.

Firstly, the extremely trustworthy wolf accidentally blew their house down because he had a cold. He was just sneezing so much! Could you control your cold?

Secondly, all the magnificent wolf wanted was some sugar for his poor old Grandmas birthday cake. If the annoying pigs just opened the door there wouldn’t be a problem! I say that the pigs are tremendously rude.

Finally, who would make a house out of straw? That is ridiculous! Do you think thats a bit suspicious because wouldn’t they know that it is going to fall down? Would you make a house out of straw or sticks? I know you wouldn’t.

So I've just told you that the big bad wolf is not actually that bad, the three little pigs are the bad guy’s! As already stated the wolf accidentally blew their house down because he had a sneezing cold. All the wolf wanted was some sugar for his poor old grandmas birthday cake and who would make a house out of straw?

FANTASTIC MR FOX
Mr Dombroski, I officially and positively believe that the foxes are in the wrong because he’s stealing, making the farmers ANGRIER and it’s not illegal to kill animals!!

Firstly, the foxes are in the wrong because it's not illegal to KILL Animals!!!!! How would you feel if you didn’t get any meat? Well meat might not be important to you but I think it’s healthy for me!!!

Secondly, he’s dumb to go steal their chickens, turkeys, geese and other types of food! If the three farmers see him, it will make them more ANGRY, FEISTY and be even more HARSH on the foxes!!!!!!

Lastly, it’s going to make the farmers wait, wait, wait and wait and if the FOXES are down there too long. The farmers will get sick and tired of waiting and then maybe go down the gigantic hole and find the FOXES. Then the foxes will get shot and die in the gigantic HOLE!!!!!! Don’t you think they should get killed because they’re stealing their money basically??!!

As already stated, the FOXES are in the wrong because there stealing meat, food and stuff which will make the farmers HARSH on the FOXES and the farmers will just go down the GIGANTIC HOLE and the foxes will get shot!!

Purpose: Describe what thunder and lightning looks like and does.
L.G: Use correct sentences that have capital letters and full stops.

Thunder and lightning comes to town

Thunder and lightning is the lightest and loudest type of weather. Some lightning looks like a fork when it breaks up. Some of the lightning would be blue and sharp. Some would look like dust or a spark or a crack. The thunder scares all the cats inside. It can make fire and knock trees down. Have you ever seen thunder and lightning?

Purpose: Describe what thunder and lightning looks like and does.
L.G: Use correct sentences that have capital letters and full stops.
The Lightning
Thunder is so loud it can make your ear drums bleed. It makes the darkness seem like its day. The lightning zigzags its way to strike a pole. The lightning looks like its trying to sidestep the rain as it cracks out of the clouds.
It shocks things like the lightening wants to want. It stabs the ground like a knife slicing meat. The lightening burns the tree like a bush fire burning rubber.

Lightening can be so dangerous. Don’t go outside when there is thunder and lightning!

Purpose: Describe what thunder and lightning looks like and does.
L.G: Use correct sentences that have capital letters and full stops.
Lightning
LIGHTING! LIGHTNING! LIGHTING! BANG! BOOM! BANG! There goes the lighting so violent. The lightning sizzles in the bright night sky then turns into wonderful colorful fireworks and disappears. It goes again and sparks so bright. It’s like a root of a tree at the very top and down to the bottom and at the bottom it looks like a fork. Lightning lights up the town so bright then burns poles, roofs and drains. STRIKE! STRIKE! It’s striking everything. It’s knocking things over. It electrocutes things, burns them and makes fire as well. LIGHTNING! LIGHTNING! LIGHTNING! It goes again one hundred times.

Crystal Kingdom

Did you know that there is a mine in Mexico that can make you as rich as me? If you don’t, then I’m going to tell you how the crystals in the mine grow.
The crystals start as small as a grain of salt. They need mineral water and heat to help them grow. When you are down in the crystal caves, you need to wear a special suit because the heat can get up to 115 degrees. They have been growing for 500,000 years and can weigh up to 500 tonnes. That’s really heavy! They grow 1000 feet below the ground because the deeper you get, the hotter it will be.
Well now you know how you the crystal in the mine grow. Now you can be as rich as me.

L.G: Describe a moment in time through the eyes of an ANZAC soldier.
S.O.S: - I have described the senses the soldier would feel.
- I have painted a picture in the readers head.

THE WAR
Did that hard bullet just graze my head? I am so scared. I am sick. We finally got to Gallipoli in Turkey. It was April 25th 1915. We were fighting for Russian land. We were also fighting for the British. Before I could blink, bam, he blows up the big barrier. I could hear the machine gun firing at me. Oh, I’m shot! I’m shot! I could see the blood dribbling down my leg. I could smell the smoke hovering though my body and I could feel another ANZAC right beside me on the ground. I could taste the dirt that I had swallowed. I got back up with the guy on my back and I started climbing and I got to the top. I ran 15 metres. We were all getting shot on the way to the protecting barrier. My heart was beating. It felt like my heart was going to come out of my chest. There are people all around me. There is blood all over my boots. Weeks and weeks of fighting and finally I come back to my sad family.     Written by Jake White

We were lucky enough to meet a real Sargent from the New Zealand Army. He showed us all of the equipment he uses in New Zealand and in countries like Afghanistan. At the end of his visit, he surprised us with rashan packs, camo paint and glow sticks that they use when serving our country!
What a great day!
